History and Development of the Anukey Employment Services

The creation of Employment Services began as a joint effort between the Ramsey County Financial Division and the American Indian community to address the high rate of American Indian families recieving MFIP benefits.  The Anukey Partnership guides the continued and evolving work of the Anukey Employment Services Program which is designed to help families develop their job readiness and life skills to move toward economic self sufficiency.

Services and Activities

Job Counseling - Each participant develops an employment plan one on one with their employment counselor base upon their strengths, interests and needs. 

Anukey Empowerment Workshops - A series of workshops and topics to provide additional information and develop skill readiness for employment.

Friday Job Club - Drop in hours from 9 - 11:30 am for basic computer skills, resume building, cover letters and references, job interview tips/practice, set up email account, and keyboard practice.

Resource and Referral Support - Referrals and information about  other programs and opportunities to meet the goals of the employment plan.
