Parent Mentor Program

Bimaadiziwin Mikana (The Path Of Life) is a parent mentor program that embraces all generations to raise healthy children. The Parent Mentor Program is designed around healing and connecting families with community and elders. While focusing on traditional cultural life ways, resiliency and strengths, positive Indian Parenting values are incorporated into the program. Parents are encouraged to share their knowledge in supporting other parents. Cultural crafts are incorporated to use as teaching tools in the home. Weekly parenting groups are held as well as one on one parent support. Anyone parenting a child between the ages of 1 year up to the age of 5 years is eligible to join.
