Where American Indian Families Thrive!

The Wakanyeja Kin Wakan Pi Women’s Program provides direct services to primarily Native American women during the prenatal and post- natal period.  We develop and deliver culturally specific case management services to women to ensure healthy birth outcomes. We plan educational and culturally supportive workshops relevant to expectant mothers, partners and community members. Within our Family & Youth Services department, the Women's Health Team is composed of a Case Manager and an Outreach Specialist.

Within the Parenting Focus, Services and Activities Include:

  • Prenatal Education
  • Parenting Classes
  • Nutrition & Good Health Education
  • Home Visits
  • Mother's Circle Support Group
  • Case Management
  • Development of Birth Plan
  • Infant Car Seat Education

-- 35 women and their families were served during the past year! --
